Find something to look forward to.
One study found that people who just thought about watching their favourite movie actually raised their endorphin levels by 27%. Anticipation is often the most enjoyable part of an activity. Now, is the best time! If you can’t go away, or even visit with good friends, be sure that you plan something to put on you calendar. Then whenever you need a quick boost or lift me up, remind yourself of it. Anticipating future rewards can actually light up the pleasure centres in your brain as much as the actual reward will.
